Plan Your Show

Attendees consistently report that advance planning is critical to maximize their time at the Irrigation Show. Follow this 7-step plan to build your expertise, discover innovations and make connections.

1. Develop your exhibitor hit list.
Whether you’re looking for a specific company or product, you can find it at the Irrigation Show. Search the exhibitor list by company name or by product category to develop your list.

2. Schedule appointments in advance.
For those stops where you know you’ll need a little more time, contact exhibitors in advance to schedule an appointment. Whether you’re meeting with current or prospective business partners, scheduling in advance means you know the right person will have time to spend with you when you get to the show.

3. Map your route on the show floor.
For maximum efficiency, use the online floorplan to map your route around the show floor to see your exhibitor hit list and check out anything that catches your eye.

4. Increase your productivity and profitability with targeted education.
Review the class schedule and pick the courses that work for you. Online registration opens in late August, but you can begin planning your schedule and block out classes at any time.

Need a quick math refresher before your class? Build the free session into your personal schedule. Classes are offered Tuesday, Dec. 1, through Saturday, Dec. 5 (classes will not be offered Thursday, Dec. 3).

NOTE: Each education class requires separate registration and fees. Sign up for at least one class and receive a free, “Expo Only” pass to all three days of the exhibition.

5. Discover the latest industry advances at Innovations in Irrigation.
The Innovations in Irrigation conference includes approximately 50 short (20-minute) sessions on the latest developments in irrigation system design, installation and management. Three concurrent tracks present innovations in agriculture, turf/landscape and water management.

The conference runs Wednesday, Dec. 2, through Friday, Dec. 4.

NOTE: Innovations in Irrigation is included in your full registration to the Irrigation Show.

6. Stand out from the competition with a specialized certification designation.
Ready to get certified? Pick an exam time that works for you, then register. Exams are offered Wednesday, Dec. 2, through Sunday, Dec. 6.

Need a quick review before you sit the exam? Consider a class. Not sure if certification makes sense for you? Plan to attend the certification briefing to learn more.

NOTE: Certification exams require advance registration and separate fees.

7. Block out time for special events, industry forums and networking.
Make connections, monitor industry trends and learn more about Irrigation Association® initiatives at the many networking events and forums at the 2009 Irrigation Show.

Highlights include the General Session & Keynote, Grower Forum, Contractor Reception, government affairs briefing, smart business sessions and common interest group meetings.
